Time to move on. January 7, 2010

This will be my last post on wordpress..  I have found this blog site to move very slow when I am creating a new post (and thus not frustrating to me).  Most photographers on a photography site I am a member of uses blogspot becasue you can customize pretty much everything, its very user friendly, has faster uploads, blah blah….

So I have decided to move.

I know that I might  not have some people  follow me to a new blog but PLEASE do.  If you go to the site and click follow blog it will let you know through email when I do a new post.  Please do that so I know someone is looking or drop me a note.  I have posted some snow pictures from today.

The Fun Place January 5, 2010

The cold temperatures were giving us cabin fever so we took the kids to the Discovery Center in Mufreesboro yesterday.  As an early childhood teacher, this place is awesome.  It has everything a child can imagine…art room, turtles, trains, cars, a pretend Kroger, post office, a music room, diggers, puzzles…..the list goes on and on.  Maddox saw me uploading these pics and he said “Is that the fun place”.  I am thinking this will be where his 4th birthday party will be…..he’s not REALLY turning 4 is he?????

*  My camera battery died so I didnt get as many pics as I wanted……note to self….always charge battery.

Both boys loved the music room.

The harder he hit it, the more he laughed.

Maddox loved the train table (even though we have this at home)

Maddox changed the oil.

Then he changed a tire.

Then he did some digging.

Miles likes puzzles. Last pic I took before camera died.

Whats better than 2 1/2 hours of fun….the quite ride home due to overdue naps and too much fun!

This dog January 2, 2010

 This month Zoe will be 10 years old (70 in dog years).  She’s seen me through  my move to Nashville (and was my only roommate for a year), my wedding, 3  more moves, and the birth of both of my boys.  I named Zoe after Misty getting her only 6 months after she died….obviously still filled with grief over her loss.  Zoe helped me grieve for her by being a sign of hope and life.  Zoe has given me so much and asked for nothing in return but food, water, and a little attention every now and then.

We will be taking her to the vet in the morning, she isn’t feeling well.  Say a little prayer for her.

Sweet Maddox December 31, 2009

Sweet Maddox decided he would have his picture made today.  This isn’t always the case but we are bored and he knows it.  I love this boy with all my heart.  He’s moody, funny, smart, loving, whiney, passionate, and mine……. if only for a little while.

I can’t even believe it. December 28, 2009

I am a HUGE fan of the Pioneeer Woman’s blog…she loves to cook, take pictures, and is very very funny.  She has a way with words that makes me laugh and relate to her.  Mom and Dad got me her new cookbook for Christmas….it is on the New York Times Best Selling list.  So….

Every so often  on her blog she does a photography assignment and people submit their photos.  This weeks assignment was Christmas bokeh pics.  This means blurred background.  I put my one of Maddox making a heart out of a candy cane and wouldn’t you know it SHE CHOSE IT!!!!  She chooses several a day for 2 or 3 days and then awards a few prizes (good prizes).  Now I don’t think I will win, but thats ok…… I did the math…there were 1932 pictures  submitted (at the least) so this blows my mind……

Christmas Part 1 December 27, 2009

This blog takes a long time to upload pictures so I will do a few of these at a time.  We had a great day filled with too much food, no fights, and a lot of smiles.
